Getting my new #dmr radio up and working tonight. Got me a Radioddity DB25-D, and let me tell you, friends, getting this thing running has been a PROCESS. CPS was definitely written as an afterthought. None of my local groups support the codeplugs for this radio, so I’m starting from scratch. Got the fancy replacement Codeplug Editor from MM7DBT, and it’s currently gargling the 15MB CSV file of contacts, then I’ll need to get the groups together. FUN!!! #amateurradio #hamradio

Thanks. It relies on existing building blocks though, like #MMDVM , #GNURadio and the #DMR trunking controller (DMRTC) which has been in development for more than two years.

Working on a proof-of-concept bridge from #DMR SMS to #XMPP chat and vice-versa.

Below demo uses a Hytera HP785 DMR radio and a PinePhone with Dino as messenger software.

Still have alot to learn about XMPP and various XEP (protocol extensions).

Załączyłem dzisiaj radio nieopatrznie na kanale gdzie zakodowany miałem lokalny #przemiennik #DMR i o dziwo odebrałem. Wic polega na tym, że nigdy z DMR na przemienniku nie korzystałem bo trzeba się zarejestrować i coś tam kiedyś niekompletnego w radiu wpisałem, czego nie dało się wtedy sprawdzić z braku tej rejestracji a tu wychodzi, ze jednak dobrze wpisałem.

I had the curiosity to do some tests transmitting and receiving DMR DMO with an unmodified #plutosdr

Normally DMR in repeater mode requires establishing a time base from the BS transmission in order to fit into one of the timeslots.

However, in DMO mode, there is no such requirement. When starting a DMO transmission, every terminal establishes its own time base, and the receiving radio must synchronize to it.

So DMR in DMO mode can work fine with the Pluto.
