And now I'm rewatching Newsies for the first time in about two decades. I forgot just how much of this movie is spent showing Pulitzer and his flunkies talking. Kind of surprised kids saf through this. Of course I sat through it enough times as a kid that I can recall the lyrics somewhat two plus decades later so...

Watched this growing up in the 90s. The actual strike was, shall we say less musical and more violent. Apparently newsies did pelt people who continued buying the paper with rotten fruit, something that's not portrayed in the movie, and would've fit just fine IMHO.
