I really don't understand #misogyny and #bigotry in general. Men can't seem to wrap their pea brains around the fact that the only reason they think women and minorities are lesser is that women and minorities have been systematically denied all opportunities throughout history. Its not that women are lesser, its that men are lesser because they can't handle other people being allowed to compete with them.

If you met me in person, I think you might be surprised. When I said I feel like #MisterRogers with a rage migraine I'm serious. In person I'm a kind, chill person. I give to various charities, I buy food for homeless people and routinely pay for people behind me in line at coffee shops etc. I think people individually are largely fine, its just the collective thats shit, at least here in the US where we live under a system that gives regressive social conservatives most of the power.

I know Star Trek tech isn't actually possible, but I used to hope that at least the social advancement might happen. But look what happened in the US after Obama's administration: The most regressive elements of our government took over and proceeded to tear down as much progress as they could and demonize vulnerable populations.
