🧵 3/4: today I got a phone call that the recruiter was willing to have a "conversation" with me, and later confirmed I had been selected for a #jobinterview after all, even if they were unsure of my #Digital experience (my job titles almost all included the word 'digital). At the end of the day, I don't particularly want to work for them. But I want #LongCovid to be acknowledged as a #disability not just in theory but in real life. Especially by a so-called #DisabilityConfident employer

I recently applied for a job with a so-called #DisabilityConfident #Employer: that's a UK scheme giving a seal of approval that an employer understands & champions #disability #employment rights. The job I applied for specified the company would "interview every #disabled applicant who meets the minimum criteria for the job". After I formally disclosed I had Long Covid, I received an email turning me down...
