One approach to better integrate data is the #DigitalExtendedSpecimen concept - https://doi.org/10.1093/biosci/biac060

We'll need a range of approaches to build this - from aggregator-scale #ML processing, to a distributed system of tools for researchers, gathering contributions in context.
