Over the years, I have demoed quite a lot of games at a few different locations. It all started back in 2019 at Essen Spiel, where I demoed Fog of Love to the German audience. More recently, I have been demoing for Asmodee at UK Games Expo, as well as at my local board game cafe. With every demo, I have honed my skills, learned new tricks and generally fine-tuned my approach. So in this article, I want to share my demoing method, which can also be applied to teaching games in many ways.

this is basically how every of my tracks start off (even 95% of the electronic ones start off on the guitar)
i did this just now
- watching something (in this case #oasis supersonic docu - absolutely love that riff from that song)
- grabbing my #guitar and start playing around for 15-20 minutes with my mind turned off
- getting something that rocks/moves
- think it would be better suited for the bass
- #record the bass
- playback and fiddle around the guitar again
- record the first thing that fits
- playback and record some full drumset with the #keyboard
- make it louder and put some reverb above it all

and this ist how it sounds after around 40-60 mins without any thought or fuck given

quick and dirty

from there on i start adding/removing things and playing properly, mixing and all the rest
