Annoyances from two worlds…

Prudence, one of Bethany’s classmates (the one who does the school newscasts): “Bethany’s way too nice and she keeps asking questions about things I don’t want to talk about and she can do friggin’ calculus in her head and she doesn’t even care and she’s so unsure of herself for someone who can turn over a car with her bare hands and the thing that annoys me is that I’m kind of crazy about her and I don’t know what to do with that.”

Colin, the court jester and only human Amalyn considers a friend: “What do I find annoying about Amalyn? Nothing. I’m absolutely thrilled every time she gets drunk and picks a fight with three of the king’s soldiers in the middle of a crowded pub while we’re supposed to be having a quiet drink, knowing that I’m slightly less of a warrior than the king’s least muscular carrier pigeon.”
