Just plugged in the wild 2009 Danelectro Eric Clapton Psychedelic DC-59 into a classic Nifty 50 amp — and wow, this setup is pure vintage magic! The guitar’s trippy finish pays tribute to Clapton’s legendary look, and the tone through the Nifty 50 is punchy, jangly, and full of character. A perfect combo for those retro rock vibes.

Late 20th Century Entropy Circus with OpenSim visuals. The light and skies on OpenSim are beautiful. Derived from the old Second Life technology. We can probably do more sophisticated things with Unity but those are very evocative skies.

Meanwhile the audio is pretty much Danelectro six-strings with a Casio RZ-1 drum machine. Classic combo. And the loops of traffic are from Blackhorse Lane on a Sony MiniDisc recorder.

My Danelectro ‘Dead on 67’ Hornet. Always an interesting flavour of tone, and super stylish retro looks. #guitar #guitarpedals #danelectro
It’s tempting to start a collection of these Danelectro food series pedals. Or even better, they could just reissue them. Still one of the best designs (aesthetically at least). The foot switches aren’t very robust, sadly. They are proper pedal porn though. #guitarpedals #danelectro

They aren't the best guitars in the world, but [Marge Simpson voice] I just think they're neat! (Pic is actually mine this time.)

@3dprinting And here's the clip that holds it in place. The first generation was just a rectangular bar of PLA. Now it has a nut trap, a stiffening rib, and two feet that are rounded like the hole. And it's PETG for resiliency.

This clip will clamp onto the inside of the guitar body when the screw is tightened.

I like making hidden parts pretty.

@3dprinting My very first multicolor print. I don't have an MMU (yet), so I swapped filaments by hand. The red inlay is 4 layers deep, so there were 5 filament changes.

@3dprinting Mike says the guitar's name is Maybell. So I made this in Inkscape and used it to cut an outline into the 3D model. This time I did create a 0.2mm gap in the model.
