Great summary in this op-ed of the recommendations from the #covidconsensus study published in Nature. Nearly 400 public health experts around the world in a rigorous process agreeing on where we need to go at this point. Spoiler: COVID is not over. And there are plenty of things that can be done to stop the spread and keep people safe.

My take of mask study making rounds this wk: it's not changing anything I do, esp at work in hospital. Even though I have to keep sourcing my own N95s (cost I think was part of COI) I'm NOT OK w *less* protection for airborne virus, as stated in #COVIDConsensus @[email protected] study.

As much as I want the #COVID19 pandemic to be over, I can’t help but think this decision is somewhat premature as we head into a very challenging winter.
My advice: get vaccinated/boosted, stay alert & stay away from others if you feel unwell.🤞
