For many of us we cannot avoid aspects of our lives being politicized & we must actively fight for our human rights. I acknowledge that many people do not want to know about any of that and, lucky them I guess.

Figuring out which Mastodon server to join is akin to IRL for Black, Indigenous, People of Global Majority (BIPGM) women/femme:
Are they safe for us? Will I need to assimilate? Do I need to code-switch?
Will they care more about the dominant comfort & civility than the truth?

1) Wake up - yay i am still alive

2) Out of bed - realize you have broken another rib. Cant go to the ER , risk of death is to high. I suffer with pain and pound back a fist full of pain killers.
