It’s probably a 2014 MacBook Pro with NVIDIA GT 750M Graphics.
Elementary works fine, but difficulty’s with NVIDIA driver. (New installation required).
Then i try CachyOS again ( too slow. but live system feels very snappy and fast 🤷🏻‍♂️).
Next: fedora Cosmic spin. Wow. Everything (nearly ) works out of the box. Sadly some software wasn’t possible to install, so I switched to Fedora workstation with Cosmic desktop. Very happy till now!

This means, as of today, there are only two DEs capable of having independent virtual desktop per monitor: COSMIC and KDE Plasma (not counting WMs).

I've been using #Cosmicdesktop again on EndeavourOS and what I've liked the most is the improvement in performance which doesn't trigger high ram or cpu consumption when I'm using firefox with multiple tabs, live streams and videos with easyeffects enabled...

#linux #pop_os #COSMICDesktop is breaking me. You can't even hold control to drag and drop copy files in their file browser. This needs more time in the oven sorry. It's definitely snappy! But I guess that's not hard when you rip out so much functionality

Ich habe gerade den #CosmicDesktop für mich entdeckt. Ich bin wirklich positiv überrascht was #system76 hier auf die Beine gestellt hat. Look & Feel gefällt mir, Tiling Modus ist super. Es gibt wenig negatives zu berichten, wie z.B. dass der Launcher und Dateimanager nicht alle installierten Programme kennt (in meinem Fall #zathura als #pdfviewer). Das größte Manko aus meiner Sicht ist aber die fehlende Dokumentation, habe zumindest bisher nichts bedeutsames gefunden.
