Hunter (1984-91) - German Complete Series Boxset. A birthday gift. The American DVD and even streaming prints have the music altered for copyright reasons. Earlier episodes made frequent use of classic and contemporary pop songs, akin to what Miami Vice was doing at the same time.

We have just finished watching 19-2, and can thoroughly recommend it. It is a Canadian TV series about the interaction between the police at Police Station 19. It is not about catching criminals in the way other police shows are, it is more about how the job affects the people doing the police work.
We have watched several Canadian programmes and found most enjoyable. I will continue this thread with links to the others.

M Squad was a 1957-60 NBC US TV cop series starring Lee Marvin. Action-packed, hard-edged, with a film noir vibe. It dives right into the seamy side of life. Marvin oozes charisma. He's like a pressure cooker about to blow. Superb TV.

#Hunter s5e13 (1989) - 9/10
1️⃣ This 5th season has had a couple of dud episodes. Most have been good. This 3-parter has been the best thing so far.
2️⃣ Surprisingly, the #CharlesHallahan-#RobertVaughn storyline is the most satisfying. Charlie really comes into his own, digging deep to find a way to get rid of the Deputy Chief.
3️⃣ The other storylines - one for Hunter, one for McCall - aren’t quite as satisfying because they reach very predictable conclusions. Still good however.
2️⃣ Following the murder at the end of part one, the #JamesBSikking vigilante plot goes in a different direction. Same with the #CraigHurley high school storyline, which is now revealed to be about a large-scale pornography ring.
3️⃣ This is really exciting storytelling. An example of the show at its very best.
4️⃣ Teleplay is by #TerryDNelson, long-time story editor on the show.
