@RuthMalan thank you for putting learning in quotes. Machines don’t learn #ML and intelligence isn’t artificial #AI, though both have been interesting avenues of research, with prodigious results for #ComputationalStatistics Regarding followers and following on #Mastodon or other #ActivityPub services — it feels different to me. The attitude of community through server instances doesn’t come through as well as I would like. Search and hashtags help. Thank you for being here.

Taking publicly available #Satlas data, the Allen Institute is using #GPT to artificially enhance the resolution of the images to identify renewable energy projects and changes in tree canopy over time. While this may be useful, as always with #LLM & GPT, beware inaccuracies and false information.
