Okay, so I tried, and I was disappointed.

I like dark chocolate, a lot.

Usually, I buy Moser Roth dark chocolate at Aldi. 70% cocoa. That chocolate gives me a nice punch to the face when I eat it.

Today I decided to also buy Choceur. It has a 49% cocoa content. I decided to buy both at the same time, in order to compare.

There's no comparison. The Moser Roth is better all around. The Choceur has no punch to it. It also tastes buttery for some reason.

From now on, Moser Roth it is.

I want a T-shirt with Lynch's quote "Fix your hearts or die" on it. There are hundreds available. I'm spending time trying to find one that doesn't have an anatomical heart on it, doesn't have any of the words in bold, garish colors for emphasis, doesn't have a heart with a band-aid, doesn't use hearts as punctuation or letters... ugh. I just want the phrase.

There are a few options after searching for a bit. I don't object to one with a mushroom cloud on it (relevant to the quote itself), or the zigzag carpet of the Black/White Lodge.

I just want a simple Fix Your Hearts or Die shirt. Is that too much to ask?

Well... things I learned about Lidl and Aldi:

* Aldi has better tasting Greek yogurt.

* Aldi has better mandarins.

* Aldi wants a bloody quarter to get a cart. Lidl does not.

* Aldi appears to me more expensive, but that's hard to tell because their website's pricing does not correspond to the in-store pricing.

* Neither are great at frozen vegetarian selections.

Hmm... I don't think I've pointed this out already... if I did, then you can chalk it up to chemo brain.  

Last time I got groceries, I bought some maple syrup. There was a product I had not seen before that looked significantly cheaper than what I usually buy. So I decided to do comparison shopping.

Walmart likes to complicate things. One syrup was in $ per ounce, one was in $ per quarts, once was on $ per what-ever-the-fuck-unit-it-was. Also, the new product was in the wrong place. I discovered that when I scanned its barcode with my phone, and the price was much higher. I found where it should have been and moved it.

At any rate, the whole unit kerfuffle was a big pain in the ass. Why were they switching units all over the place for things that are *THE SAME*???

When stores pull stuff like this, it makes me feel like someone is trying to scam me.

I did complain to corporate.

Fun fact:

Jif Reduced fat creamy peanut butter contains more calories than Great Value Creamy Peanut Butter (*not* reduced fat).

Jif contains a bit less fat, but makes it up by having more carbs.

I don't usually buy this Jif peanut butter. I bought it because an ex of mine wanted it. I don't like the taste of this peanut butter. I'm finishing the one I bought, so I had to buy more. I compared the Jif to Great Value at the store and decided that there was not enough of a difference to feel sad about abandoning the reduced fat.
