Yeah, I'm so great at remembering anniversaries that I even forgot the anniversary of my cancer diagnosis.

I blame.... chemo brain! 😂

Yeah, it was on Nov 17th 2020 that they performed the brain biopsy that diagnosed me with a PCNS lymphoma. The next day, the oncologist they had assigned to me gave me the news. I gave my assent to treatment, and they immediately rolled me from neurology to oncology because I was *this* close to being dead.

We started chemo. After two rounds of it, I entered remission, but I had to go through all 8 rounds of it (or 9 rounds depending on how you count), and later I had a stem cell transplant.

Five years after this ordeal, I'm still alive. 🥳

Okay, so a few days back the office of my lipid specialist at Johns Hopkins contacts me to schedule labs, and a new appointment. She says that I can schedule my appointment myself.

So I try. They ask if my appointment needs labs. I answer affirmatively. They ask if my labs have been done yet. I ask negatively. This is true. Then the system borks. I'm going to bet anything that this is because it wants me to have the tests *done* before I schedule the appointment.

Okay, so she had offered help if I cannot book the appointment myself. I tell her that I need help, and then... several days of dead air from her.

Do they realize that:

1. I have a life.

2. When I send the ball back into your court, I'm very liable to forget that there is even a ball. Chalk it up to my #ActuallyAutistic mind, or maybe my #ChemoBrain. 🤷

It looks like I took imaginary pills this morning.

I did mark them as taken, but when I look into my pill organizer, they are still in their container.

It sometimes happened in the past that I took pills from the wrong container, but this morning it looks like I just did not take them.

I probably thought about it, then I was busy trying to teach Maddox that the way to approach me is not to walk all over my laptop but to come the other way, then I marked them but did not realize that I did not take them.

At any rate, the situation will fix itself in about one hour. I just took my synthroid, so I have to wait.

Hmm... I don't think I've pointed this out already... if I did, then you can chalk it up to chemo brain.  

Last time I got groceries, I bought some maple syrup. There was a product I had not seen before that looked significantly cheaper than what I usually buy. So I decided to do comparison shopping.

Walmart likes to complicate things. One syrup was in $ per ounce, one was in $ per quarts, once was on $ per what-ever-the-fuck-unit-it-was. Also, the new product was in the wrong place. I discovered that when I scanned its barcode with my phone, and the price was much higher. I found where it should have been and moved it.

At any rate, the whole unit kerfuffle was a big pain in the ass. Why were they switching units all over the place for things that are *THE SAME*???

When stores pull stuff like this, it makes me feel like someone is trying to scam me.

I did complain to corporate.
