This is a interesting article written in a simple way to explain the electricity market #NEM - I don't entirely agree with the conclusions about individual building #batteries as opposed to #CommunityBatteries, but if don't have the available funds, they are better than nothing, or getting charged by the retailer to take away your excess power.

“The first of 400 rooftop solar-soaking, distribution network-connected battery energy storage systems to be installed under the Albanese government’s $200 million Community Batteries scheme has been switched on in Sydney.
