Day 139 of Year 3
Day 870 of my coding journey since January 1, 2024. ๐
๐ป Today's Focus
As a Code in Place 6 Volunteer Section Leader, I helped students debug graphics assignments and reviewed multiple approaches to solving the same problems. One of the best parts of teaching is seeing how different minds arrive at effective solutions. ๐

Who does things like that?!? Apparently: me. I have my own project, written in Rust. Not a big one, mind you, maybe approx. 30k lines of code in total. Rust is verbose so itโs not really that impressive. Iโve put it aside for some time and was toying with local inference, LLMs, writing agents and my attention was brought to Ruby. Itโs been a while. So I had to take a look around to remind myself what Ruby and Ruby on Rails are doing nowadays. Theyโre doing quite well. There are some typing initiatives (Sorbet), and the language itself is terse as ever.
