261 ukulele song sheets in the Cliff Edwards Project, which means I've reached the end of the ones with sheet music and chord arrangements. The next batch will involve searching again in the hope that I missed some chord sheets the last time (or some wonderful soul has recently put them online), after which it's time to break out the chord recognition software and see how far I get. It doesn't tend to do well with 78rpm recordings.

And after that... well, that's it. Until I can get my transcription discs digitised and track down the 50 or so recordings I'm missing there'll be nothing else to add. At that point I can put together a semi-finalised collected PDF of the songs and find a way to make it more easily accessible to people who might be interested in using it.

Typed up a couple of songsheets for the #CliffEdwardsProject while waiting for an appointment with the doctor (partly as a distraction, otherwise I find I'm unable to do anything other than think about it and constantly check the clock), so let's kick off with the official song of the British summer!

The hyperlinked table of contents is a shambles and there are plenty of things in need of fixing across the board, but here for your strumming pleasure is a single PDF collecting the first 100 songs added to the Cliff Edwards Project, mainly tunes from the 1920s and 1930s.(Direct link)

Pushed myself rather too hard today, keen to hit the magic hundred songs typed up (which isn't even a quarter of the possible total, but I'm not looking that far ahead): I'll probably be knackered tomorrow. Still, working on something I enjoy is definitely less fatiguing than the day job; and after nearly a year and a half of Long Covid it's been a real boost just finding something I can do and get a sense of accomplishment from.

Since I finished quite a few sheets today, I'm not going to post all of them here this evening. However… here's number one hundred, which probably still needs a little refining in places but is, I think, an appropriate choice:
