Listening to some Cliff Edwards numbers this morning, including this beautifully minimal performance of "It's Only a Paper Moon" from 1933. Edwards recorded the song more than once, but this is my favourite version. No need for anything more elaborate.

Ah, that's interesting. I thought that the clip he posted in a video with the eBay listing didn't work, but it seems it was just very picky about browser choice.
Unfortunately, I don't think that this is a forgotten Cliff Edwards number at all. To my ear it is definitely not him. Try it for yourself:
