Remains of discount-stuff chain now embroiled in lawsuits

One of the co-founders of BinStar, which briefly blazed across the local retail firmament with its discount castoffs from other stores dumped in bins customers could root around in, yesterday sued what's left of the now defunct chain and one of its financial backers, charging they drove him into intensive psychiatric care and left him saddled with more than $2.7 million in the failed concern's debts and tax liabilities.
