@jfmezei At least you had a #NewYearsEve show. #English #CBC had regular programming. #CTV and #Global had news ie. more regular programming. #CityTV was showing the #American Dick Clark's New Year's Eve show. Only the local #CHCH channel (#Hamilton) had an actual New Year's Eve show.
New Year's isn't what it used to be on TV. We used to flip channels to see the different acts, and watch New Years come in across the different time zones in #Canada.
