Now this is a national day I can get behind! May 12 is National Nutty #Fudge day!!! Even better, my protagonist, Lily Gallagher, can join in because even though she tries to avoid it, there are times when the only solution to a problem is chocolate. Although she prefers dark chocolate, 70% or thereabouts, she'll enjoy some well made fudge on occasion.

While at Walmart, I saw "Charge" candies by the cash register. The package contains three individually wrapped chocolate balls. Each ball has 54 milligrams of caffeine, which is the same as a 12 ounce can of Mountain Dew.

I picked up a pack and decided to try it out. The verdict? It's a pretty basic milk chocolate ball.

I mean, that's about it. The photo makes the balls almost look like there's some texture or rice inside, like in a Crunch bar. There's not. It's just a solid chocolate ball.

It was okay. If you are looking for a quick burst of caffeine and like pretty basic milk chocolate, not a bad option. But, for me, I'll stick with getting an energy drink.
