Thanks to Chinese Cooking Demystified I'm now sometimes deep fry my boiled eggs (aka tiger skin eggs). It's possible to use these eggs in other suitable dishes instead of meat, but most often I roll mine in a sauce made of 50% ketchup and 50% soy sauce. Delicious!
