It seems so perfectly clear to me Donald Trump is a major headcase that it is hard to imagine how so many people don't see it. These days, for the most part he is only able to mentally focus on those things that are endlessly rehearsed or scripted. It seems highly likely that his total inability to handle an apparently unexpected question about child care policy may be diagnostic regarding his fracturing mind. He is 78 years old. Oftentimes and increasingly, he cannot follow a simple train of thought. It has gotten to be hard to tell the difference between his lying and his cluelessness. A slight majority of Americans think he is too old to be president. Both his parents died of Alzheimer's disease. Though it is currently thought that Alzheimer's is not hereditary, all these things, taken together, strike me as an extremely worrisome combination. One might wonder whether Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution can be applied to a former president or a presidential candidate.
