Good news, my good lady has been signed off work for a month. A long last she has recognised she has #depression - not helped by another #cellulitis attack. Strong antibiotics - 3 tablets 4 times a day should sort it out properly this time.
It show the difference comparing a hospital treating the issue compared to what the doctors prescribed last time which was less than half the dosage.
Fingers crossed she gets properly sorted out this time.
Cautiously "good" news:
My partner checked the area and redness has gone down. It is swollen but not as red. No streaking. Took my 12th dose of Keflex (40 doses total is the full course). Basically, the point at which I was going to go to the hospital is if there was no positive change in the direction of healing or it got worse.
To go to the hospital, we are looking for signs of worsening such as :
1) Increased redness + increased swelling
2) Red streaks moving outward to new tissue
3) fever
4) disorientation
The reason why it's wait and see at home, has to do with the fact that my immune system has been put to sleep from the Prednisone (why healing from infection has been so slow), and so I can catch a plethora of things at the hospital including COVID.
This could be so so so much worse,
KNOCK ON WOOD.
Please still keep me in your thoughts, I'm not out of the hot water quite yet π₯Ί
Let's hope for reduced swelling by tomorrow morning π€

WAITING for ambulance transport, last EIGHT HOURS. Same bullshit, only two ambulance companies in Albuquerque, this one is better of the two.
Am panhypopituitary, super-bad Covid. On "prophylactic antibiotics" for life, plus vancomycin, trying to beat back cellulitis infection in my leg.
Moving around for last two weeks - first thigh, then calf. Then a full leap from left to right. If I'm not septic already, then I'm about to be.
I'll just be here, waiting for help. :-(
I developed a mysterious bout of #cellulitis on my foot three+ weeks ago and I havenβt been able to walk properly or even wear a shoe because my foot swelled up.
I got antibiotics which took care of the inflammation, but my foot is still somewhat swollen and hurts. Podiatrist says itβll be this way for maybe another month and Iβm irrationally upset.
I love to go to car meets on weekends, and I havenβt gone in a month because of this and Iβm just getting crankier every day.
