Italian News by RSSIl Tempo: Da Sempio "una vera confessione": scontro a Quarto Grado
“Sono confessioni a tutti gli effetti”, “Mi chiedo il garantismo dove stia andando a finire”: Il delitto di Garlasco e gli ultimi sviluppi delle indagini su Andrea Sempio fanno discutere e non poco, e nel salotto televisivo di Gianluigi Nuzzi e Rete 4, Quarto Grado, Carmelo Abbate e Angela Taccia hanno due versioni totalmente diverse sulla vicenda.
Mentre il giornalista infatti sembra credere alle nuove intuizioni della Procura che in Sempio vedrebbe l'assassino di Chiara Poggi, l'avvocato dell'indagato invece richiama tutti all'ordine ed ad attendere l'esito delle indagini.
Il primo a parlare è Abbate: “Le telefonate, i suoi soliloqui io penso che siano confessione a tutti gli effetti Gianluigi – dice lapidario il giornalista di Panorama – quando lui viene qui e dice a me e a te che le telefonate del 7 e dell'8 erano per cercare Marco e per sapere quando Marco sarebbe tornato, oggi leggo che gli amici sentiti ce ne fosse uno che non aveva chiaro che Marco stava partendo per la montagna e che sarebbe tornato in un giorno prestabilito”
Il riferimento è alle telefonate che Sempio fece nei giorni precedenti al delitto e per Abbate è chiaro quanto lui, quanto gli amici di Marco Poggi, fossero informati degli spostamenti del fratello della vittima: “lo dicono loro, e dicono, lo sappiamo noi, ma lo sapevamo tutti”.
C'è poi il punto di vista dell'avvocato di Sempio che è totalmente opposto a quello del giornalista: “È l'ennesima dimostrazione di quanto si voglia mostrificare Andrea Sempio, anche mediaticamente – esordisce – ricordo a tutti che quando io e il collega Cataliotti eravamo mercoledì all'interrogatorio, quando eravamo ancora dentro, le prime indiscrezioni, ovviamente le peggiori, erano già uscite. E questo non vi nascondo, che non finisce mai di farmi rimanere basita, amareggiata”.
Il motivo è presto spiegato: “Mi chiedo veramente il garantismo dove stia andando a finire, perché io non lo vedo più, non lo vedo più. Ed è molto pericoloso, perché – spiega il legale prima di chiudere la sua analisi – nella situazione di Andrea Sempio potrebbe ritrovarsi chiunque, ogni cittadino”.

“These are full confessions,” “I wonder where the ‘guarantist’ approach is going – where it’s heading”: The Garlasco murder and the latest developments in the investigation into Andrea Sempio are causing discussion and a lot of it, and in Gianluigi Nuzzi and Rete 4’s television living room, Quarto Grado, Carmelo Abbate and Angela Taccia have two totally different versions of the story.
While the journalist apparently believes in the new insights from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which sees Sempio as the murderer of Chiara Poggi, the defendant’s lawyer instead calls for order and for waiting for the outcome of the investigation.
The first to speak is Abbate: “The phone calls, his soliloquies – I think they are full confessions, Gianluigi – the journalist of Panorama says lapidary – when he comes here and tells me and you that the calls on the 7th and 8th were to find Marco and to know when Marco would return, today I read that a friend heard of one who wasn’t clear that Marco was leaving for the mountains and that he would return on a predetermined day”
The reference is to the calls Sempio made in the days before the murder and for Abbate it’s clear how he, and the friends of Marco Poggi, were informed of the victim’s brother’s movements: “they said it, and they said, we know it, but we all knew it.”
There is then the lawyer’s point of view of Sempio, which is totally opposed to that of the journalist: “It’s the umpteenth demonstration of how much they want to smear Andrea Sempio, even mediatically – he begins – I remind everyone that when I and colleague Cataliotti were on Wednesday at the interrogation, when we were still inside, the first rumors, of course the worst, had already come out. And this, you don’t hide from me, never stops leaving me stunned, disillusioned.”
The reason is soon explained: “I really wonder where the ‘guarantist’ approach is going, because I don’t see it anymore, I don’t see it anymore. And it’s very dangerous, because – explains the lawyer before concluding his analysis – in Andrea Sempio’s situation, anyone could find themselves, every citizen.”
