I needed a #Libre #CardSorting web app for my #UXdesign class. Two years ago, I discovered the nice project ‘Card Sort’ <https://github.com/indigane/cardsort>.

Unfortunately, it seems that the project is no longer actively maintained. For instance, at the time, I submitted a pull request with some new features, but it was never merged.

Two years later, today, I finally decided to ‘soft fork’ it. Please check out the new features of ‘Card Sort +’ at <https://codeberg.org/bmarne/cardsortplus>.

Please boost, I need feedback!

Top tasks survey — One weird trick to improve information architecture and user experience

One of the most powerful methods in information architecture and user experience is also one of the least well-known. The top tasks method uses a single survey question that tells you exactly what matters most to your users. I find it so effective that I’m amazed more people haven’t used it.

Describe your site

#CardSorting is a popular activity that #researchers use to understand how people group and associate items such as #products or #information.

Using a research platform like #MUIQ®, card sorting can be done electronically and without an attending moderator. One advantage of digital over physical card sorting is that it’s easier to add #images and even #videos to cards.

But does adding images affect the results of a card sort?
