Cal.com Goes Closed Source Over AI Security Concerns, But the Internet Isn’t Buying It
Cal.com, a popular open source scheduling alternative to Calendly, closed its main repository citing AI-driven security risks. Skeptics say the real reason is likely commercial. The Cal.com disaster explained in this newly released video – a must-see! #CalCom #TechFail #RationalTech
Cal.com goes closed source after 5 years, citing AI tools that can scan open code for vulnerabilities and expose risks to user data. 🔐

I don't know how I feel about that. It was always my favourite go-to alternative to Calendly.
What I also don't get is that they are releasing a Cal.diy source code side by side with less business features. Is that not threatened by AI?
Or is it just a business move to earn more money in the end?
