Annulus Cahiri (2010).

Something off from the circle a bit for today, with this panorama done from the top of one of the towers of Cahir castle in Co. Tipperary. I've posted that panorama once and it was 360 degrees only (i.e. no vertical components, or in other words, it's a cylindrical panorama). The place was so narrow to place a tripod to begin with, so I was barely able to rotate camera on one level; in addition to the clutter and the not-so-interesting ground.
Anyway, because of this, the center of this circle is missing (which was supposed to be the top level of the panorama). The image was saved as PNG with transparency so the center is transparent (supposedly) too. Ironically, I do feel that it has somewhat 3D-ish look more than the regular panorama already.

An Uaimhín (2010);

Another remake of an old panorama (I think remade in 2021 or 2022) for a small cave into the rocks (or some kind of shelter-like structure) on the side of the nature trail in Cahir town, Co. Tipperary. The path (lower part of the image) despite being curved, is actually a straight line, and it leads to the "Swiss Cottage" (which actually has nothing to do with Switzerland but because people back then thought it looks like a Swiss cottage, hence the name!).
It was one of the challenging panoramas. Here, done in RAW, but originally done in HDR. In both cases, it was somewhat hard to stitch. The main culprit is the exposure I'd say. When I shot this, I was a beginner with the panorama-making processes (I got my panorama gear specifically some months that year before traveling to Ireland in October). I admit though, I had an idea back then that "I can fix it in post-process later on" - and man how much was I wrong. Anyway, there are other problems away from the technical aspect, like for example the location in which I've shot this panorama; If I was to do this again, I'd probably stand a bit further away from the formation.
Worth noting, the path was actually busy with people, but I was lucky here somehow (plus, when forming HDRs, the software tries to remove moving objects). Yet, this is a RAW render and not HDR, and still I'm lucky to have no one I guess! (I see people sometimes as a disturbance to the scene).

An Castán (2010);

Well, well, well, back to the archives for a moment here as I don't have any new "products"!
This was a vertical panorama (handheld) I've shot in Ireland back in 2010 (my 2nd visit), and it's a remake actually. Here, I've actually removed much of the background and saved the file as GIF with the transparency. Now, most platforms would exchange the transparency to a solid color (either black or white) so I'm guessing it's the same here, unfortunately.

Amach (2010);

So, back to the archives, as I don't new stuff to put up here, yet. Well, got some phone shots for a flower or two from the yard, buuuut... meh.
Today's panorama was shot in 2010 in Cahir, Co. Tipperary; in my 2nd visit to Ireland. What you see here is actually a side of a cliff of some sort, and there was a bit of niche into the side of the cliff as if it was a little cove. Back then I was still a beginner in panoramas, as well as the HDR technique, so I've tried actually to re-do this panorama many times, but I'm always dissatisfied with the final result. This one here, though shot in 2010, this projection specifically and this image was made in 2015.

Cahir Castle is one of Ireland’s largest and best preserved castles. It was built on the #RiverSuir in the 13th Century by the powerful O’Brien clan but later granted to the Earl of Ormond and Butler family.

It’s currently a National Monument and owned by the Irish State through the #OPW

We have a lovely community of farmers and food producers in #Cahir (our local town), who come together for the farmers' market each Saturday, from 9am to 1pm. Photos of local seasonal vegetables, fresh baked breads, and fish landed from day-boats in Dunmore East yesterday.
