Cahir Castle is one of Ireland’s largest and best preserved castles. It was built on the #RiverSuir in the 13th Century by the powerful O’Brien clan but later granted to the Earl of Ormond and Butler family.
It’s currently a National Monument and owned by the Irish State through the #OPW
