Directed by Robert Cannon, the #cartoon captures the charm and impressionistic style of the #Caldecott Honor Book so smoothly that it earned an #AcademyAward nomination. To maintain the #book's unique pacing, the #animation team used seamless scene transitions while drawing inspiration from French painter Raoul Dufy for the backgrounds.
