Just seen a CTV News segment about people lining up to sign the unconstitutional separation petition.
Of course they talked to various Common people in the small towns to get their reasons for it.
Some gems:

• we have no representation, never have!
• the East won't give us our pipeline, they don't respect oil and gas
• we will finally be able to make our own decisions
• in covid, THEY closed my store, now there's a Canadian Tire down the road.

They were able to find people who sounded rather hick. Older, or younger and gave the general vibe of congenital degradation or prior blunt force trauma to some key cognitive equipment.

Yes, turns out if you always vote for the same party NO MATTER WHAT, they don't have to represent you at all. They have what they want already.
Turns out, the O&G Corp's funny want the pipeline either, but the UCP convinced you otherwise.

I watched the CPAC NDP leadership hopefuls forum as a non-party member/citizen and I really liked Tanille Johnston and Tony McQuail.

I like Avi Lewis so far too but I have a feeling him and Heather McPherson will be let downs and not actualize a new strong, bold progressive left vision that we are direly in need of in Canada right now if we want to fight authoritarianism... And unfortunately, they are the front runner so far.

So far, I think Tanille would be the best choice for leader to fulfill that need.

This is a great listen on the history and popularity of Swastika clubs in Toronto just before WWII.

The media and politicians did not condemn them and they were widely accepted.
