Her story is one of more than four hundred very similar accounts from other participants in the Flotilla, all courageous individuals who risked their lives and wellbeing to bring a tiny amount of relief to those suffering in the ongoing hell of the Gaza genocide, which hasn't stopped, only somewhat slowed.
When video was published showing a senior minister of the Israeli government gloating and mocking hundreds of prisoners held in stress positions, there was a (brief) international outcry, with many western governments making some of their most strongly worded statements to date.
Yet none have taken further concrete steps as a result. None have acknowledged that previous Freedom Flotilla participants have almost all described being abused while detained by Israeli forces. None have made the obvious point (which all the flotilla participants have continually made) that this is only a fraction of what Palestinians are suffering every day.
