#archUser wissen es sicherlich schon: im #AUR sind 1600 Pakete mit #Malware infiltriert worden. Hier ein kurzer und Informativer Überblick, was geschah und die Gefahr, die vllt noch nicht vorüber ist. Interessant auch für User zB von #Cachy OS.

Es wurden u.a. heimlich npm-Pakete eingeschleust. Vorwiegend sind Infos über die User gesammelt worden über die installierten Browser und deren Cookies.

Always amused that whenever I remember to run the update program on my #Mint / #Debian machine once a month or so, it finds fewer things to update than my #Cachy / #Arch machine finds after like a week.

Das Gemeine an so fix verbauten Devices wie dem #Surface ist ja, dass ich nur bedingt einfach mal #Cachy OS mit #Gnome drauf probieren kann, wenn das aktuelle OS drauf eigentlich gut läuft.

Dzisiaj, podczas oglądania YouTube, zauważyłem ciekawostkę związaną z przeglądarką Vivaldi. Otóż na dwóch różnych systemach, Debian i Cachy, blokowanie reklam działa w różny sposób. O ile na Debianie działa to poprawnie, o tyle na Cachy os, reklamy nie są poprawnie blokowane i YouTube puszcza ich sporo, przycina się i dłużej wczytują się filmy. Jak dobrze pamiętam, na Manjaro było podobnie.

To tak, jakby przeglądarką zainstalowana z .deb była ok, ale ta z repozytoriów dnaego systemu (takie są na Manjaro i Cachy) już nie jest. Na androidzie w sumie też nie są wszystkie reklamy blokowane. Ale to już inna historia...
