J'ai téléchargé la version légère Core, pour éviter de trop prendre sur mon data téléphone, et parce que j'ai pas de clé USB > 2Go
L'installation demande une connexion internet et j'ai qu'un seul port USB

Ich hatte in den letzten Monaten schon einige Male berichtet, dass aus meiner Sicht das eine empfehlenswerte Distro ist.
Neben den im Video erwähnten Punkten würde ich noch hinzufügen:
- meines Wissens einzige Distro, die OneDrive sofort korrekt handelt (das hat nichts mit den Online-Konten zu tun)
- beste Touchpad-Unterstützung mit Erkennung von Mehrfinger-Gesten

Bryce@Kubi37 The kernel itself is not what the problem is, since it is the distribution and they do to the kernel that can be problematic.
Ubuntu and Mint should be fine, but I think Pop! OS is better than Ubuntu for your demographic.
However, Pop! OS can have problems with the kernel if you go about things in the way an average person would.
You could also look into using #zorin because I have heard it is the least painful for Windows users
Pixelcode 🇺🇦Here's what I did when reinstalling #Zorin:
1. Delete all directories except /home from the root partition.
2. Move /home/* to the top level.
3. Shrink the partition.
4. Create a new root partition.
This way, you just convert your root partition to a home partition, instead of creating a brand new home partition from scratch. There's a good chance you'll keep your data and don't need to tediously restore your backup.
It worked fine for me, at least. 🤷

What #Linux distro (with Gnome!) should I install next? Currently, I use #Zorin, a polished version of Ubuntu. I still like its design, but there are two issues: 1️⃣ The upgrader sucks: When upgrading from v16 to v17, it didn't check for a sufficient amount of free disk space, which corrupted the installation. Now, the upgrade from v17 to v18 failed with an unhelpful generic error message. 2️⃣ Zorin is always at least one year behind #Ubuntu, which sucks because of compatibility issues.

KerfuffleIf I were to replace Ubuntu with ZorinOS on my main SSD without touching my second HDD, and then reinstall Steam, would it be able to run the Steam game I installed on a second HDD if I told Steam where it was, or is an installed Steam game on Ubuntu somehow different from an installed game on ZorinOS?
