The story of Patrice Lumumba, leader of #Congo, killed during the cold war by #Belgium and the CIA.
“The Congolese people will gain little from prosecuting a man who drafted cables.
What would actual atonement look like? For Belgium, it would entail a forthright apology and an admission of institutional responsibility. Virunga National Park Sees Hundreds of Elephants Return and Rare Gorilla Twins Born During Hopeful Year
RDC : les évêques alertent sur l’insécurité et appellent à préserver l’ordre constitutionnel
A second set of mountain gorilla twins has been born in Virunga national park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo – a male and a female. It’s the second twin birth just two months after another set (both boys) was discovered in the same park. Conservationists are taking it as a sign that the gorillas are in good health.
