So now I'm on the phone to AAMI trying to get a cheaper premium. I've managed to reduce the premium by $200 just by increasing the excess on a few things. I got another quote from RACV for $400 less but that was a lower maximum rebuilding cost. AAMI offers unlimited rebuilding cost and, given the sky-rocketing rise in building costs I'm tempted to stick with them just for that reason.
