New data from the West Health-Gallup Affordability Index shows that only about half of U.S. adults could afford their healthcare and had access to quality care last year. Concerns about affording healthcare in the year ahead were also at a record high since tracking began in 2021. The survey, conducted from October to December 2025, shows that inflation and rising healthcare costs were straining Americans, even before healthcare cuts took effect this year. Many are worried they won’t be able to pay for care. The findings reveal a decline in healthcare affordability across various demographics, including among younger adults, older adults and women.

"Some lawmakers and advocates are hoping to change that. Reps. "Experts say that increased costs were primarily due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as riskier behavior on the roads and supply chain disruptions that led to higher repair costs. Now that insurers are on a better financial footing, they are cutting rates to stay competitive.
"There is no evidence to suggest that illegal immigration played a significant role in either the rise or the fall of insurance premiums."

President Donald Trump is crediting his tough immigration policies for a drop in car insurance premiums. He is falsely blaming illegal immigration during his predecessor’s time in the White House for a prior increase. But experts say that increased costs were primarily due to effects from the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to riskier behavior on the roads and supply chain disruptions. Now that insurers are on a better financial footing, they are cutting rates to stay competitive with customers. There is no evidence to suggest that illegal immigration played a significant role in either the rise or the fall of insurance premiums.
People begin to organize against the rule of the Medical-Industrial Complex
squeezing profit out of vulnerable communities and families who can't make ends meet if they have health problems and are dependent on insurance companies who suck the last dollar out of their clients.
Health care in the biggest economy of the world leaves only the most necessary medical service to workers who produce the wealth of the happy few in the first place. As Europe follows suit decreasiing social services citizens could learn from their US-comrades as they are already thrown into a state of misery that reduces their life span and forces them to endure painful losses of life quality.
