A summary of the second and third days of the #BugsDoneQuick marathon I did last month (:

The trouble with sitting on a draft instead of finishing it up early is that it ends up with 3.1K words instead of 2.5K. Oh well.. at least, I hope I got a few interesting details around #Zarr for whoever ends up reading it (:
Bit late, but here's the first recap post for #BugsDoneQuick, covering the Sunday and Monday from two weeks ago -

If you were curious what I was up to and don't wanna watch the video recording, that's the post for you. ๐
Well. It's over now. No more bugs. I can rest!!โจ I already treated myself to a nice dinner- and will be taking tomorrow off (:๐๏ธ๐๏ธ
But, if you enjoyed #BugsDoneQuick (and/or do after watching parts of the playlist at https://watch.bojidar-bg.dev/w/p/dBebtRwLLPmtYJtjwUaEE2), please consider leaving me some written feedback ๐๐๐ More than favorites or boosts, I gauge the success of an online endeavor by the amount (and kind) of writing I get back in response to it. Soโpositive or negative, please share your thoughts liberally! ๐
Fixing bugs and going fast is cool ๐ but sometimes one also needs to slow down and do the work that is less fast, less glamorous, and -possibly- less cool. โบ๏ธ
Today's stream is going to be a bit delayed, starting in ~40 minutes at 11:30 UTC. Instead of going fast, I'm going to be following on all the bugfixes I did over the week for #BugsDoneQuick and responding to the comments I've received from the maintainers.

LibreOffice's codebase is absolutely massive (~50M lines according to cloc?), and it very much got me beat the other day, when I "speedran" a scant 2 bugfixes in 7 hours.
So today, I'm going for a rematch! Let's see if better tools (rr, ctags) and better understanding of #LibreOffice code is going to be enough for me to get a bugfix in under 2 hours for #BugsDoneQuick! :joy:

I've got a mosquito somewhere loose in the house, but rather than #debugging that, I'm going to be taking on random FOSS issues for #BugsDoneQuick - and you can watch me live in ~30 minutes!

Today, I'll be tackling the Chart.js library, which I would hope is going to be a more relaxing experience than the object-oriented C++ code of the last two days. (But don't worry, I'll be back to C++ soon! Just need a break ๐ ๐)
LibreOffice recently got Markdown file support! ๐ But know what's still missing? A 100% perfect bug-free user experience ๐ And that's what we are around for! ๐
Today, in about 45 minutes, I'll be #livestreaming bugfixes on #LibreOffice for #BugsDoneQuick โ my attempt to rid the FOSS world of as many papercut issues over the week as I can ๐

Wednesday morning was going great until I realized I don't actually have a project ready to go today. But, if you don't mind the delay, I shall be starting in ~45 minutes (around 8:30 UTC), with some issues on #KDE #Gwenview to fixโand you are more than welcome to join my stream! (:
