I think one of the things I find so captivating about the #strudel #livecoding #music framework is that it IS an honest to god REPL!

Change something. Hit Ctrl+Enter and BOOM! the composition changes - sometimes radically! And its REPL nature allows you to iterate so rapidly.

Once I get more familiar with some of the syntax...

Just playing with that and subbing in different code blocks is endlessly fascinating.

Also? For my fellow #neovim addicts, there's even a plugin - https://github.com/gruvw/strudel.nvim that provides a two way link between Neovim and the browser REPL so you can evaluate your code in your favorite editor!

How cool is all of this?

The "Doin' the Do" drum loop was a bit more difficult to express as #strudal #mininotation because I haven't been able to find the 16-step grid pattern documented anywhere, so had to match the pattern by ear, and my ears ain't so good in my old age
