I'm appreciating the free wifi on this aircraft, as well as the fact that I'm kinda mashed into my seat and still able to work without contorting my body. Just did a fun arrangement of some music for brass quintet and woodwind quintet for funsies, now going to turn my attention to this big band thing I’ve been meaning to do.

Fugue in “?” Minor

An “atonal” baroque fugue by Zelenka arranged for Brass Quintet. I worked mainly from a keyboard transcription by Robin Klupp Taylor on IMSLP to make this arrangement. The score was typeset in Lilypond but I imported the MIDI file into MuseScore to get a nicer sounding recording.

A century and a quarter ago, before the horseless carriage replaced the nobility's four-footed mount in Sweden, Ellen Sandels wrote a cavalry march for piano called "Blå Prinsen", which could be translated as "Blue Prince". This march for brass quintet is a (loose) arrangement of Sandels' piano march.
