Trombonist, Euphoniumist, and Overenthusiastic Music Educator

I never really learned to play by ear in music school. I've really gotten the hang of it these last few years with ska, funk, and jazz gigs, and it's opened a lot of professional doors. My new soapbox is to start kids learning to do this much younger. It helps with intonation, confidence, musicality, and really everything. Okay, rant over. Go learn a tune by ear! You'll be humbled.
