Pumpkin Smash November 8th 10:30-1pm. Bring and smash your Halloween pumpkins (our smash one provided) at this family-fun event! Featuring pumpkin-smashing activities, family friendly activities, a bake sale, and more! Come learn about Somerville’s Food Waste Collection Pilot. Lets divert our pumpkins from the landfill and compost them instead! Don’t trash ‘em, Smash ‘em! In Partnership with Mothers Out Front, Somerville Community Growing Center, and Garbage to Gardens Rain date November 9th

Afterwards, anyone who wants to, please join us just down the street at the Morse Kelley playground for refreshments - watermelon and cool beverages - to celebrate our hard work. We can also take victory photos.

Please bring your own water, sunscreen, hat, etc. Bring gloves and weeding tools if you have them. If you do not, please let us know by replying to this email and we can try to track down a few extra. We will have garbage bags and refreshments.”
