I usually have to put a knot in the handles of #shopping bags to stop them dragging on the floor 😂 …is it just me?
Luckily the one I keep in the van gives people a choice!!!
Thank you #Booths
“Waitrose v M&S: free coffee, longer toilet paper and the battle to win over the middle class shopper.” Fortunately living in the NW of England we don’t have to put up with any of this nonsense. #Booths

Strangely.. being offered 72 lettuces 🥬 was not the largest or strangest #CommunityFridge donation we have received. The week before Christmas we collected 93 cauliflowers from #Booths - some were badly frost damaged and went to feed lots of chickens..the rest were swiftly delivered to various local charities and businesses and used to make large amounts of soup and cauliflower cheese for our #PublicLivingRoom and #CommunityFridge

The #surveillancesociety in the #LuneValley:

My local branch of #Booths (popularly known, but erroneously, as the Waitrose of the North) has introduced a #facialrecognition system into its local branch (and for all I know, all of its branches).

And in a classic bit of 'securitisation' we are told via a sticker on the door, this is for the staff & our safety.

The creeping Orwell-isation of the UK continues;

wonder if they'll be able to link that to my Booth loyalty card & credit card data?

Our local posh supermarket #Booths had a batch of #cauliflower that had been badly affected by frost damage. Some were ok or ok ish but they took the decision to give the lot to us at the #Community fridge.. so..what to do with 93 of them...first up.. free festive gift for everyone who wanted one at our #PublicLivingRoom Room
