99: A Sh*tload of Crazy Powers, by Jackson Ford.
Another decent read in the Frost Files. And the penultimate book before 100 for the year
I finished Barbara Tuchman’s towering “Guns of August” yesterday. It’s slightly embarrassing to admit that as I have owned the book for decades. But it was such a powerful work of scholarship and story-telling that I had to share with someone. #BooksRead2022 #history #ww1

97: Shadows Linger, by Glen Cook
Second book of the Black Company. Enjoyed the follow-up, but feel some missing bits, and the big battle at the end against the weird black castle happening offpage was a bit anticlimactic.
Still Good, and still got Malazan vibes.

Has anyone watched #FromScratch - it’s based off of the memoir above. Make sure you purchase the book and read it. Then watch the show - or if you watched the show now get the book. It’s amazing. #Memoir #bookish #bookstodons #BooksRead2022 #moviereviews
