I really hope so because I'm not an introvert and I'd really prefer to be out and about, doing more things. As long as all levels of government are happy to pretend that COVID is over, there's plenty of opportunity for the virus to mutate, potentially becoming more infectious/lethal. I've heard good things about the effectiveness of the #BivalentBooster and I hope to get my 6th injection in a month or 2.

I was super happy to get the #BivalentBooster straight out of the hatch. Numbers are not great for my 65+ age group in general.

Because it’s just come up, a reminder: If you have an actual Covid infection, the recommendation is to wait three months before getting a primary-series vaccine, or 4 to 6 months before getting the booster.

Got my bivalent booster today. I’ve been waiting until I had actual plans to do something out in the world. I’ll be visiting friends in two weeks, which was my main incentive. Less of an incentive: making appointments for things I’ve been putting off, like going to the dentist. I mean, it’s great to be able to go to a dentist. But not exactly fun.

Hi all, XBB.1.5 now represents 43% of the variants circulating in the US. We see a high level of XBB.1.5 in the northeast and while hospitalizations had initially gone up, they are actually starting to decrease now. Wastewater levels across the US are also still fairly high as seen on the CDC map, but we are starting to see more “blue dots” which represent lower levels of virus in wastewater in some communities.
