Had a little excitement, in birding terms yesterday on my usual walk, a bird flitting along the fence at the bottom of a field caught my eye and then my lens, open ground so I couldn't get any closer 🙄 #bird #birds #birdphotography #birdtrack #wildlife #nature #naturephotography #GreatGreyShrike #Scotland #scottishwildlife #bto #Countryfile
Looking out my window (yeeeaah) Sitting at the Mac, staring out at the #rain (again) 🌧️ and watching the poor wee birdies getting drookit (soaked) but, there was a wee surprise earlier in the week when a #Brambling showed up on the feeder. (24th) Then, last night at 'too dark for photos o'clock' another .... or ..... 🤔 #bird #birds #garden #gardenbirds #nature #naturephotography #birdphotography #Scotland #perthandkinross #alyth #bto #scottishwildlife #birdtrack
Found this poor #CommonGull in one of the car parks off the #SeacliffRoad in Bangor.
Tried calling the #DAERA #hotline but they were closed and apparently they no longer collect d #dead #birds from #coastal areas 🤷‍♂️

Reflecting on #2022, my year of low carbon birding and natural history wanderings within #Hull city limits #localbigyear: Over 3000 km walked, 102 (plus 4 not counting) species from 14830 records, 738 complete #Birdtrack lists, 62 places. Bird highlights: Osprey, Black-tailed Godwit and Peregrine are only a few #UrbanBiodiversity
My #BirdTrack year summary - not entirely comprehensive because I also submit some casual records via @iRecordWildlife, but I really like these infographics by the @_BTO @BirdTrack Most of this is work I carried out with @hawkeye_tom #wildliferecording #BiodiversityGatwick #birdmonitoring
Day 10 of #12DaysWild looks like another day rained off. So some time inside where it's dry, entering the records of my Devon trip into #Birdtrack so the BTO can get data from them. https://www.bto.org/our-science/projects/birdtrack
