#12dayswild Day 11 Ivy, Adbolton Lane, such a brilliant plant for wildlife; late nectar, cover and nesting sites and, at the moment, berries for birds. Day 12, our usual run route to Holme Pierrepont flooded; Regatta Way, egrets on flooded fields
#12dayswild Day 10 Blackbird claiming territory already on our very wet front garden wall
#12dayswild Another year of the brilliant BBC Wildlife magazine. Full of interesting articles and beautiful photographs. Insightful and thought provoking
Day 8 #12dayswild Natural decorations from the garden and a tiny bit of foraging. Tree from the marvellous Love a Christmas Tree, so after 12th night, it will go back to live with other trees until hopefully, Christmas 2024
#12dayswild Day 7 bird feeders on pergola and willow arch filled and attracting tiny avian dinosaurs, too fast for pictures
#12dayswild Day 5 Thoroughly cleaning bird feeders. Day 6 after visiting Narnia on the walk back up Newstead Abbey drive saw fairy rings and lovely lichen. Heard tawny owls hooting, too.
#12dayswild Day 3 saw a wren in the wild garden of relatives. Day 4 Holme Pierrepont: waterfowl on the rowing lake, including cormorants drying out and a heron
#12dayswild Day 1 Saw & heard a thrush singing at the top of a sycamore tree on the street outside All Hallows Church Lady Bay on Christmas Day. Day 2 Boxing Day family walk along muddy Clifton Grove

#30DaysWild Day 18: I finished painting and installing the hedgehog box sunshade that I started yesterday. As I still had pallet wood remaining I decided to decapitate, replace and repaint the bird table as it's looking a little rotten.

I last rebuilt this bird table during #12DaysWild in Jan 2020 and last repainted it for #30DaysWild in 2021.

Enjoyed the waft of scent from our Wintersweet on my way to retrieve the bin. #12DaysWild
