🇫🇷 Je suis toujours en vie! Aucune raison de s'inquiéter.

Mais c'est fou ce que j'ai été occupé depuis le début de 2025, surtout au “niveau canin” avec l'arrivé en avril de deux chiots bassets de seulement 10 semaines (“frères de portée”) dont l'un très timide et très attaché et dépendant de l'autre, raison pour laquelle nous avons pris les deux: nous ne voulions pas les séparer. Mais je pense en avoir déjà parlé…

Avance rapide: Janvier 2026 et il y a deux jours Pitou (l'un de deux chiots - pas très original comme nom mais nous sommes aux USA) était opéré en chirurgie orthopédique, pour une patte mal-formée, problème causé par une croissance anormale des os de cette patte pendant la première année.

Etc. etc. Quelle année, 2025 et même le début de 2026.

Je ne vous raconte même pas tous les casse-tête auquel la plupart des Américains doivent faire face quand ils arrivent à 65 ans en ce qui a trait à l'assurance maladie, et médicaments. Ça été hyper-stressant à ce niveau là et presque toute l'année avec toutes sortes d'inquiétudes et de questions sans réponse.

Mais passons à qqch de plus joli:

But it’s unbelievable how busy I've been since early 2025, especially with K9s since we adopted 2 basset puppies (litter brothers) last April, with one puppy very timid plus attached to and dependent on the other, reason for which we adopted both. We could just not separate them.

Fastforward: Jan 2026 & 2 days ago, Pitou (one of the pups) had his right front paw realigned by an orthopedic surgeon, because the paw had become malformed due to abornal bone growth in that paw, during his development.

Etc. etc. What a year that 2025 and also the beginning of 2026

And although I think I'm all set with Medicare I had enough Medicare setup headaches in 2025 to see me out... Very stressful time for me given my need for medical care and medications. Plus I lost my healthcare a month early (before Medicare) so had to buy on the private market for one month. This was costly, plus the private insurance we had to add to our Medicare plan is also very costly. But we cannot be without it.

But here I switch to a prettier topic: flowers!
