Swallow-tailed kite

One of our coolest birds.

Taken very near the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge while river/lake boating in Florida.

(Saw a couple kingfishers too, my girlfriend's favorite bird, and too many others to list. Good birding day.)

Mrs Snowy owl today (presumably) You never really know with these heavily speckled owls, could be a young male as well. The new years male is still in the same general location it was when we first found him but on private property about a mile in off the road. The one today was a good 10 miles from his location and on a busier paved road. A big truck flushed her off the pole onto a silo just after i snapped this shot. #Birdphotography #SnowyOwl #Birds2023 #Birding
